The Jester Park Nature Center is a significant tourist attraction, welcome center, portal to Polk County's family of parks, and Jester Park's new front porch. Tourists, students, educators, families, and others can connect through this center to the natural playscape, bison and elk exhibit, restored woodlands, Saylorville Lake, and a network of nature trails that immerse people back into nature.
Please, no pets, except for service animals.
We love our pets, that’s why we care about their safety. The Jester Park Nature Center does not allow animals (except service animals) into the building, as we have live animals within our exhibits for educational purposes, host field trips with small children, and conduct live animal programs. The nature center is a public facility and we want to respect our visitors and maintain a safe environment for everyone.
Admission into Jester Park & the Nature Center is FREE.

Indoor Portrait Photography Policy
The Jester Park Nature Center is a unique and beautiful location for photography. Our Indoor Photography Policy is designed to ensure all guests – those taking photos and those who are not – have a positive experience during their visit.
Indoor portrait and commercial photography (amateur or professional) at the Jester Park Nature Center will only be allowed during non-public hours. This includes posed photography of individuals, families, Quinceañera, prom or other school dances, high school senior photos, engagement and wedding photography, or any other formal photos of individuals or groups.
